Waiting Children

Waiting Child Information

There are many children in the world that are waiting for their forever families.  Many of these children are in need of medical care and need homes urgently. Due to the needs of specific children, in some circumstances, we may be unable to hold a waiting child for a family that does not have a completed hone study or USCIS approval.

Kids to Adopt maintains a public waiting child listing that does not contain photos of the children as many of the countries we work with no longer allow photo listing or the display of children’s photos on websites open to the general public.  Photos of most of our waiting children are available to families that complete a waiting child non-disclosure agreement.

If you would like to learn more about each child, including photos, medicals, and their home country, please send us an email with the child’s name in the subject line.

Waiting Children With Grants

Please also ask about our waiting children with grants!  We work with multiple grant making organizations to assist in finding grants to help with the cost of adopting special needs children.

Orphan Hosting Programs

Kids to Adopt sometimes works in cooperation with other agencies in operating Orphan Hosting Programs.  These programs give children living in orphanages the opportunity to travel to the USA to meet and live with a host family for up to 3-4 weeks.  The children learn about american cultures and family life while the families have the chance to change the life of a child from another country.  Some of the children participating in host programs may be available for adoption.

Helping Waiting Children

There are far more children living in orphanages than we can hope to place with adoptive families.  Kids to Adopt works with our foreign coordinators and other organizations to offer support to some of these children that are not able to be adopted.  We also work with individuals and organizations to assist special needs children in finding families by reducing the costs associated with adoption by providing grants.  You can help by making a donation for a specific child or to our general orphanage support fund.  To make a donation or for more ways to help waiting kids, visit our Helping The Children page.
