Here are the answers to some general questions about our orphan hosting program! To get started, you will need to send us: a criminal background check, an abuse history check, a completed application, and a check for $295 to cover the application fee. We are looking at dates in the spring for bringing the kids over, probably in April or May. The estimated cost per child is about $3,000-$3,500. Families are responsible for the cost of the child’s transportation from his or her point of entry into the U.S. (probably Seattle) to the home and back to the point of entry. Families are also responsible for all the costs of hosting the child, including meals, entertainment, travel, and educational field trips. They children are expected to learn something about the United States while they are in the country! It is appropriate to take them places where they will be able to learn facts about our history, geography, etc. The children arrive with virtually nothing but an empty bag and will probably need to be provided with clothing. Single people and married couples may both host children, but the country we’re working with on hosting only allows married couples to adopt. Thank you for your interest and questions! Please, if you have more questions than what is covered here, either call our office at 360-695-1704 or email taylor@kidstoadopt.org. Have a great day!

We need to find this boy a family immediately! Next month he will be moved to a different orphanage where no there is no adoption program. He will live the rest of his life as an orphan. We can’t let him down. He needs YOU!
Jack was born in November of 2004. He was born at 34 weeks weighing 4.4 pounds. His mother did not receive prenatal care. Jack is a cheery young boy with a sweet smile.
He has many disabilities including arthogryposis of the lower extremities, hernias, hip joint dysplasia, scholiosis and hemangiomas to name a few. This little guy’s legs are stuck in a criss-cross position but that doesn’t stop him from getting around using his upper body which is very strong. Jack is very small and will continue to stay small for his age. At 5 years 2 months he was only 26 ½ inches tall and weighed 22.2 pounds. We are not sure that they are measuring his legs in his height. Since he can’t straighten them, getting a realistic measurement on him is pretty much impossible. We have excellent developmental information. Jack has very good upper body dexterity.
Jack will never have the chance to get an education or the medical care he needs where they plan to move him. He will never get released from the institution so, this will be his life sentence! This special boy needs a family with a huge heart and a wheelchair accessible home so he can learn how to be independent. A family adopting Jack must have access to good medical care or a Shriner’s Hospital because Jack will definitely need some medical intervention when he comes home.
Contact us today if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy!

UPDATE: These two wonderful children have been adopted and are now home with their loving family!
We have received information on 2 precious unrelated baby boys under 1 year of age that need to be matched ASAP! These boys may be able to be placed together for the right family. Due to pre-arranged travel dates, families MUST have a completed and approved homestudy AND be able to complete at least a partial dossier before the 2nd week of Oct. Act Quickly! We only have the referral of these boys for a couple of days before they will be given to additional agencies to match due to the travel arrangements that are already in place. Families with a completed homestudy AND immigration approval will be given priority for these children.
